Sun Square Pluto 2026
Power, Control & Deep Change for All Signs
On October 26, 2026, the Sun forms a powerful square to Pluto—one of the most intense and revealing transits of the year. This is not a subtle cosmic weather event. It is a direct activation of power, control, shadow material, and deep personal transformation. Every zodiac sign feels it, though the exact expression depends on where the aspect lands in your chart (especially by rising sign).
A new video from Beyond The Veil Tarot & Astrology, Sun Square Pluto 2026: Power, Control & Deep Change for All Signs, walks through the full picture. It covers the core dynamics of the aspect, a deeper look at Pluto, degree theory, Sabian symbols, collective/worldly implications, and practical ways to work with the energy instead of being run over by it.
What Sun Square Pluto Actually Means
The Sun represents your core identity, vitality, ego, and conscious sense of purpose. Pluto represents transformation, power, control, the underworld of the psyche, and anything that has been buried, repressed, or operating in the shadows.
A square (90-degree angle) creates friction and tension. These two forces do not blend smoothly. Instead, they push against each other, forcing awareness. The result is often:
Power struggles (internal or with others, especially authority figures or people who try to control you)
Sudden confrontations with what you’ve been avoiding
Intensified willpower and the capacity for real change
Exposure of control issues, compulsive patterns, or places where ego and deeper drives collide
Opportunities for profound regeneration once the tension is faced honestly
Because the Sun is in Scorpio (already a sign of depth, secrets, and transformation) and Pluto is in Aquarius (collective systems, innovation, detachment, and power structures), the energy has both a personal psychological edge and a larger societal flavor. Hidden dynamics, technological or social control issues, and questions of individual power versus group influence all get highlighted.
This transit also arrives near a Full Moon in Taurus, adding emotional intensity around security, values, resources, and what we are holding onto too tightly.
What the Video Covers
The video is structured for clarity and practical use. After a short intro and a note about their tarot deck pre-orders, it moves into:
Sun Square Pluto Breakdown — The mechanics of the aspect, why it feels so charged, and the core themes of power and control.
Pluto — A closer look at the planet of transformation itself and how its energy operates under this square.
Degree Theory — Insights based on the specific degrees involved (around 3° Scorpio–Aquarius).
Sabian Symbols — The symbolic imagery connected to those degrees, which often adds poetic or intuitive layers.
Worldly Predictions — Collective and societal expressions of the transit.
How To Work With This Transit — Grounded advice for navigating the intensity without getting stuck in power struggles or avoidance.
The length allows room for nuance across the signs rather than generic one-liners.
How to Work With the Energy
Sun-Pluto squares reward honesty and willingness to look at what is actually happening beneath the surface. Some useful approaches (aligned with the spirit of the transit and the video’s practical section) include:
Notice where you feel the urge to control, dominate, or resist being controlled. Those are usually the growth points.
Pay attention to anything that feels compulsive, secretive, or overly intense. Pluto often shows where life force is stuck.
Channel the heightened willpower into deliberate change rather than reactive power plays.
Practice releasing what no longer serves your authentic self, even if it feels like loss of control at first.
Watch for external events that mirror internal dynamics—arguments, revelations, or sudden shifts that force clarity.
The shadow is not the enemy here; it is untapped power. Facing it tends to produce more magnetic presence, clearer boundaries, and the ability to move through life with greater authenticity.
